Project management is the discipline of planning, organising, and delivering IT solutions within scope, time, and budget. Modern PMs blend people leadership with technical literacy, agile frameworks, and risk control.

What We Teach at Oliya.tech

Students are trained to manage live sprints for the same projects built by Streams 1–3, effectively acting as junior Scrum Masters and Delivery Coordinators.

Learning Path

  1. Foundations of Project Management – triple constraints, life-cycle models (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).

  2. Agile & Scrum Frameworks – roles (PO, SM, Dev Team), ceremonies, artefacts, velocity calculation.

  3. Kanban Flow Management – WIP limits, continuous delivery visualisation using Trello, Jira, or Clickup Boards.

  4. Estimation & Scheduling – story-pointing, Gantt charts, and MS Project critical-path analysis.

  5. Risk & Issue Management – RAID logs, change control, escalation matrices.

  6. Resource & Budget Management – effort tracking, burndown charts, sprint forecasting.

  7. Stakeholder Communication – stand-ups, retrospectives, executive reporting.

  8. Quality & Governance – aligning SDLC deliverables to ISO and CMMI standards.

  9. Tool Integration – connecting Jira with GitHub and Slack for automated status reporting.

  10. Leadership & Soft Skills – negotiation, conflict resolution, empathy, and motivation.

Verified Industry Examples

  1. Atlassian (Jira & Confluence) – globally used PM ecosystem managing over 100 million tickets across companies.

  2. Spotify – “Squad-Tribe-Guild” agile structure showcased in management journals.

  3. Google Cloud Projects – internal teams employ Scrum with automated OKR tracking.

  4. NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory – project management under PMI and Agile hybrids for Mars missions.

  5. Deloitte Consulting – uses MS Project and Jira for multi-client programme governance.

  6. Accenture Delivery Centers – employ SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) across thousands of consultants.

  7. IBM Global Services – hybrid Agile-Waterfall approach for enterprise migrations.

  8. Capgemini – integrated Jira-Confluence dashboards for large retail implementations.

  9. TCS – uses proprietary iQMS (Integrated Quality Management System) aligned to Agile metrics.

  10. Oliya Digital Agency – live example for students managing real UK/India client projects using Sintra.ai Boards.
